About localcraft

Hi, I’m Glen Horrigan

I’m a lifelong resident of Western Massachusetts and the hands behind localcraft. After a rewarding 25-year career as an Alternative Education and Special Education teacher, I decided it was time to return to working with my hands full-time — creating, building, and crafting in a more tangible way. Since the early 1990s, I’ve also run a side business as a painting contractor, taking on residential, commercial, and light industrial projects that kept me connected to craftsmanship and design.

Over the years, I’ve sought out opportunities to learn from master applicators of microcement systems, broadening both my skill set and the range of services I can offer through localcraft. My journey into concrete design began a few years ago when my wife, Chris, and I became curious about concrete countertops for our own home. That curiosity led us to a course at the Yestermorrow Design and Build School in Waitsfield, VT, where I connected with a talented instructor and volunteered on a wide variety of creative projects to deepen my experience. I later continued my training at the Concrete Countertop Institute in Gardner, NC.

Today, localcraft offers custom concrete pieces, microcement coatings, and expert painting services. Each project is built with p0h09qouu930care, creativity, and a commitment to modern, durable design that enhances everyday spaces.
